RYSE on the Rise!

In partnership with the Georgia Gear, Emory University Urban Health Initiative, Atlanta Medical Association, and Emory University Department of Medicine, RYSE hosted a webinar on Thursday, June 25, 2020 entitled Racism & Bias in Medicine: A Critical Condition. The webinar welcomed faculty and staff from Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), and several physician groups (i.e. Atlanta Medical Association, Medical Association of Atlanta, and Medical Association of Georgia). Panelists covered racial bias in clinical and professional environments, upstanding bystanders, and proposed improvements to the pipeline. 372 people attended the webinar.
